Up early after breakfast, transfer waiting to pic us up from hotel to take us to the port where we boarded a huge fairy boat which accommated about 30 people and many canoe boats. This was specially exciting as we had beautiful weather. We sailed in the middle of the vast ocean, calm waters with little islands bobbing in the ocean in the distance creating an amazing skyline ahead of us. The boat crew was very friendly and fun. The trip consisted of seven island stop overs, spending time on the beach, swimming ๐, canoeing into the caves of these little islands with its amazing breathing taking views and rock structures, some portraying faces of animals and not to mention the serene aqua blue sea all around us. A real dash of paradise.๐ด๐ด๐ด๐๐ We also had lunch on the fairy boat with a fair amount of variety goodies to eat which was accompanied by live entertainment on the boat by the staff. Playing there Thai drum music ๐ถ which was so enjoyable and festive. Meeting a variety of people on the boat from various other countries like Germany ๐ฉ๐ช, Italians ๐, Singapore ๐ธ๐ฌ , ๐ฆ๐บ and us South Africans๐ฆ๐๐ฆ๐. James bond island with its amazing rock features.
Up early every morning for breakfast before starting our day. Walking along a long pathway to the breakfast area though luscious gardens and stairways and views was awesome. Area setting overlooking the sea. Buffet breakfast with an enormous spread of dishes from cereals, fruit, smoothies, ice cream, Thai food, curry, eggs, salmon, cavier etc among a few, excellence in hospitality was amazing. This was the highlight of every morning of our nine day stay.
Arriving from KL in an hour flight at Phuket airport our transfers waiting with a placard reading the Moyce family party welcoming us to Phuket was such a delight. Instantly feeling the humidity we were on our way to and served with refreshing cold water and lemon water soaked towels to cool us off. Transfers very hospitable and friendly giving us an overview of the journey to Patong where we were booked in. We stayed at the Amari Coral Beach๐ด Hotel, what an amazing setting. We were had a very warm welcome at the check in point and beautiful reception area and friendly staff.
Our rooms were very modern simple and fresh with island flowers placed everywhere๐บ this was very welcoming๐ and also in the room was welcoming beverages. We freshened up and tge went to explore the hotel setting.
All rooms overlooking the beach ๐ด, a private beach with its own peer and palm trees all along the beach. Two swimming pools at different levels. Four restuarans at different ground levels each with its own charm and finesse with balcony tables overlooking the sea view and beautiful lighting all around which made the setting extra special.

I spent two days in Malaysia before going to Phuket..arrived at the KL Airport..was amazed how beautiful it was. Our tranfers waiting to pick us up..what a friendly warm welcome. Stayed at The Renaisance hotel..where we checked in. We made our way to the Patronas twin towers and was in awe with this outstanding architecture. Many restaurants were we had delicious Malaysian dishes for lunch and went to a cultural variety dance๐show and night life was colorful and decorative and very festive.
Day two we decided to take the Puket Nanas..the sky train which then led us to an underground train. We met a chinese taxi owner who was very friendly. He made us a very reasonable offer to take us on a tour around to all the main sites for the day. We went to the chocolate ๐ซ factory and the pueter factory. We visited and shopped at the Batik factory where watched how the material and silk was printed. Mr Chan the driver took us to the Batu Caves, we stopped and ordered coconuts with a refreshing drink before we embarked on a flight of 172 steps up into the Batu Cave. In front of the cave stood a giant golden Budda an also a temple. There was also a curio shop in the cave. Next we went to the Genting highlands… cable cars which stretched over a luscious green forest 6000 feet above sea level into the clouds โ …only once in the clouds had we discovered a theme park and casino ๐ฐ on the mountain โฐ..stay in Malaysia was way too short but beautiful.

Thanks for joining me!
